Peter Caley & Adam Palmer - finalists in Yorkshire Post Rural Awards 2024
We’re delighted to share the news that Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, has reached the final of the Rural Product of the Year category in the eighth annual Yorkshire Post Rural Business Awards. Our farm, Breckenholme, has been shortlisted in the Arable Farm of the Year category and Six Valley Lamb is a finalist in the Sheep Farm of the Year category.

Co-founder of all three businesses, Adam Palmer said: “We’re very proud of our food and farming teams for being shortlisted in these prestigious awards and are looking forward to celebrating the region’s farmers at the awards dinner next month.”

We will learn whether we have been successful at an awards ceremony hosted by Country Post writer and judge Chris Berry at The Pavilions in Harrogate on September 26th.

Organised by the Yorkshire Post, the awards recognise and celebrate a cross-section of businesses, farms, organisations and individuals that have excelled in the rural community in Yorkshire.

Breckenholme, a 300 acre arable enterprise, is home to Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil and Charlie & Ivy’s and Six Valley Lamb is a commercial sheep enterprise working in collaboration with farmers and landowners across East and North Yorkshire to produce quality forage-fed lamb. It is a partnership between Adam Palmer and Holderness farmer Peter Caley.
