We’re delighted to share the exciting news that we’re celebrating Charlie & Ivy’s 10th birthday with a series of Meet the Producer Supper Clubs in support of our charity of the year.
We’re collaborating with the lovely Gilly the Cook at The Cook’s Place in Malton to host four producer-led supper clubs to raise money for HOPING (Helping Other People In Need Group) York Street Kitchen which prepares and distributes meals for people in food poverty.
The first event will be held between 7.30 and 9.30 pm on 3rd May. Diners will enjoy appetisers and a welcome drink on arrival followed by a three-course supper cooked by Gilly Robinson, using smoked produce donated by Beverley-based Staal Smokehouse.
“We’re looking forward to celebrating Charlie & Ivy’s 10th anniversary with a relaxed evening featuring a delicious, seasonally inspired supper prepared from Yorkshire ingredients. Diners will have the chance to ask the producer, Justin Staal, questions whilst Gilly prepares the supper for us all to enjoy. Thanks to the generosity of Justin and other local producers, including Luke’s Bakery and Yorkshire Wolds Apple Juice, all of the proceeds after costs will go to HOPING.”
Tickets for the supper cost £65 per person and each event is limited to 12 people. They are available to book online at https://thecooksplacemalton.co.uk/
The dates for the other Supper Club events, which will follow the same format, with food donated by Yorkshire artisan producers, are 4th July, 19th September and 21st November.
